About this event

Dear Student,

Thank you for registering for our poetry and spoken word workshop celebrating Black History Month through "Dialogue, Collaboration, and Justice". This will be a virtual event taking place on Sunday, February 27th, from 1:30pm-4:00pm. After you have completed this form, we will be contacing your parent/guardian for approval. (please provide an email address)

Interfaith Ministries for Greater Houston's iLEAD Youth Initiative turns to Dr. King during Black History Month as an inspiration for the creativity that is sparked when we come together for dialogue, collaboration, and justice. For this event, iLEAD is partnering with two well-known poets and spoken word artists to offer a virtual workshop focusing on the story of human experience expressed through creative expression.

The power of creativity can transcend our current limitations and open us to new possibilities for our world. The workshop will conclude with an awareness campaign to spread the word of the importance of Dr. King's work today.

Please contact Kim Mabry, Program Manager, at kmabry@imgh.org with any questions.
